Edit Me - Week 16

* submission for Branson's Edit Me *

today's photo challenge have a very sweet picture, taken by Stephanie. I played a little in Elements 9. started by popping up the light and the bold colors with a levels adjustment. next added a warming photo filter and finished with two kk textures ('crackerjack' color burn and 'februarymagicedges' screen). did some healing and removed bits of texture where it was necessary. mouseover to see the before.

You did a very beautiful job Ana! It's perfect and dreamy, you can feel the warmth of the sun while looking at it and the lightning is excellent!

Lovely work Ana :) Very inspiring!

On a different topic, it is much better to photograph in RAW because you have more control over the post editing process. I used to know a really good analogy that I can't remember at all now... but it is better for editing later! You can adjust levels and contrast and whatnot almost as on the camera, whereas with Jpg you're editing over a print almost, if that makes sense. Hope this helps....

you definitely achieved warmth. and ditto Little Miss Joey's comments about shooting in RAW. i can definitely vouch from experience that you have more flexibility editing a photo shot in RAW.
