Write On Wednesdays Exercise 11 - Take a Walk

went out of the house in a rush, trying to leave all the cats inside. they love to go out and smell the neighbors doors. there are so many dogs on this condo! at the front door said good morning to the neighbors who were checking their mailbox. decided to take my camera with me, we never know what we can find. the day is a little cold, although the sky is blue. or it's just me that am not in my best mood. walking along the street found this amazing scarecrow. we live near a highway but there are still people having vegetables on their backyards. (time out! that was fast!!)

Write on Wednesdays is a challenge that goes on each Monday. we're given a theme and we've five minutes to write about it. this week prompt was to take a walk and come home and write what we've encountered. this is my five minutes story. lol :)

Good you took your camera with you!

lol :) Lily, you're the second sweetheart saying 'good I took my camera with me' I'm wondering if my writing is that bad!! lol I know dear, five minutes don't give us time to write something interesting ;) I'm glad I took my camera with me!

I don't exactly know why but I loved the line about your cats liking to go out and smell the neighbours' doors...very charming and it popped the perfect imagery into my head as I've seen cats do this often

Great pic, and I also loved the description of the cats trying to get out, so much like my cat trying to get IN! lol

awww... @Sheri and @Melissa thanks a bunch for commenting on the text too. getting out or in our house is an adventure, since we've four cats and they're all too curious.

This is a great idea! But it's not going to happen right now for me in sunny Arizona! :)

:) I don't think we have to go out every week. it was this week theme. last week, when I found out about this challenge, it was a simple word to inspire us.

Loved "trying to leave the cats inside". Good thing you took your camera, too, that's a great image!

I like the awkward dance of trying to get out while leaving the cats in. Great pic: left me with a vivid impression of your neighbourhood.

Hi @Sif and @Karen, first I thought my story was silly but all your lovely comments are inspiring me to continue (with the help of my camera, lol). welcome and thank you so much for your kind words.

Was that really a scarecrow you captured? It looks like it's a wet polo hanged to dry. But it was a very nice shot Ana, and i love it! With regard to your writing piece, you shouldn't have limited yourself with 5minute rule because we were not limited this time. Your story could have taken much better w/o the time limit. I'd love to read your next writing piece.

Smiles,

Andy

lol :) yes, it's really a scarecrow. it's there every day.

Hi Gill :) thank you so much for your comment. I'll definitely try to write more. since english is not my first language (I'm portuguese) it's a real challenge and my writing is not so rich.
